Asus has finally locally the Zenfone line of mobile phones in the Philippines. Three devices, the phones, ranging in screen size from four to six inches, are all powered by Intel Atom processors, to give the best balance in performance and efficiency in the market today.
The Philippine Zenfone launch marks a significant milestone for the company following the launch events held in China and Taiwan.
The Zenfone series of Android devices incorporates a beautiful design with high-quality materials, and an amazing camera. Available in a range of eye-catching colors and a touch Corning Gorilla Glass screen.
The smallest of the line, the Zenfone 4, has a 4-inch display, and swappable back covers in Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Sky Blue and Solar Yellow. Storage won’t be a problem, with microSD card support up to 64GB. The Zenfone 4 is also the most affordable of the three devices, with a sticker price of just PHP 3,995 for the 8GB model.
The Zenfone 5 packs a large 5-inch HD IPS+ display that comes in at an amazingly thin 5.5mm. The Zenfone 5 is available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Champagne Gold and Twilight Purple, and has Asus’ Pixelmaster camera that delivers amazing low-light performance. Under the hood is Intel’s Z2560 Atom processor, running at a clock speed og 1.6GHz for fast, zippy performance even under heavy processing loads, and 2GB of RAM, along with 8GB of storage. The Zenfone 5 can be yours for PHP 6,495.
The largest of the Zenfone series is the Zenfone 6, which has a roomy 6-inch, HD IPS+ display behind Corning Gorilla Glass 3, complemented with Asus SonicMaster audio technology for loud, immersive multimedia experiences. It has a 13MP main camera with PixelMaster technology to deliver amazing photos even in low light. It’s Intel Atom processor gives users speed, power, and long battery life, all in a single, eye catching package. It’s available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red and Champagne Gold colors, and can be yours for just PHP 11,995.
All three devices come with the Asus ZenUI, which gives users a new visual design made to be both easy-to-use and beautiful. It contains modern ‘flat’ icons, vivid color themes, animations, new ringtones and notification sounds, and a clean layout to present information clearly.
ASUS ZenUI also includes two features — What’s Next and Do It Later — designed to free users from actively having to manage the multitude of information they are confronted with daily, and enable them to be more productive. What’s Next puts the information currently most important and useful to the user — such as upcoming appointments, new messages and missed calls from VIP contacts, weather at the next destination, and more — front and center on the lock screen, the home screen and in the notification drawer.
Do It Later frees the user to focus on the task at hand, without forgetting about other important things that they need to do later. If a user is in the middle of writing an email and receives a phone call, a simple button tap automatically creates a reminder to call that person back. Users can also save interesting items, like articles, YouTube videos, or any web page, to read later. Each reminder and saved item is collected in the separate Do It Later app and includes a shortcut to perform the related action, such as call a contact or view a webpage.
