In their continuing quest to deliver affordable technology to the people, they have launched the third iteration of their Flare device, aptly called the Flare 3. It packs a 1.3GHz quad core processor by Mediatek, a large 5-inch qHD IPS display, an 8MP main and 3MP front camera, and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 64GB via microSD. The best feature of the phone, however, is the price. Once it hits the shelves, it’ll be available for just PHP 3,999.
For those who have been eyeing other Cherry devices, they’ve also announced huge price cuts for their existing devices. The Fusion Aura, their 7 inch, dual core tablet, is now just PHP 1,999; The dual-core, dual SIM Ruby drops to PHP 2,499, the quad-core, 4 inch Life 2.0 is at PHP 2,999, and the Omega Icon, with its 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5 inch screen and front camera flash is just PGP 4,999.
For us here in the Metro, the Flare 3 will be available starting 2 August 2014, at the Cherry Mobile shop at SM North EDSA, and Cherry Mobile at Robinson’s Manila at 5PM, though you can start queuing at 3PM. Residents of CDO can also find it at Graphics at the same date and time.
