Epson has just launched its first direct-to-garment printer, the SureColor SC-F2000. Featuring Epson’s proprietary technology, this large format printer was designed to render competent service to SMEs in the textile industry.
The SureColor SC-F2000 is an ideal investment for SMEs with its high performance, low maintenance, and low running costs. The F2000 boasts a crack-resistant ink and easy configuration, which allows users to simply set the system according to their needs. The users can choose from two sets of CMYK ink for white garments or up to four white inks for color garments.
Jino Carlo Alvarez, head of Epson Philippines’ Commercial & Industrial Department says, “This printer is unique to this industry, in the sense that this is the first system where the entire printer has been designed and manufactured by a single brand. The hardware and ink are designed to work together and users benefit from the reliability and high-quality output that Epson is renowned for.”
The F2000’s highlight is Epson’s durable PrecisionCore Thin Film Piezo (TFP) Tprinthead, which allows the printer to quickly produce outputs without compromising print quality. This Epson proprietary technology, which is used F2000, is an evolution of its Micro Piezoprinthead technology. PrecisionCore gives Epson inkjet printers its award-winning print quality, allowing for a greater nozzle density and increased ink droplet placement control, which makes for greater printing quality and speed.
Paired with Epson’s eco-friendly UltraChrome DG Ink (available in 250 or 600ml cartridges), the SureColor SC-F2000 excels on dark fabric. The white ink is circulated within the system and has been designed to reduce clogging.
Among its various features, the SC-F2000 also offers a resolution of up to 1440x1440dpi for accurate dot shape and placement, while its wide color gamut produces vibrant colors, sharp contours, and smooth gradations.
