After our initial hands-on, HP has officially launched their first ultrabook offering, the Folio 13, in the Philippines. If you haven’t read our hands-on of the Folio 13, let us rundown the specs for you: 13-inch screen, mostly aluminum construction, Intel Core i5-2467M, 128GB SSD drive in a body that’s only 18mm thin. HP is obviously aiming this particular ultrabook towards the enterprise space, though we wouldn’t be surprised if it took off with regular Joes looking for a thin and light notebook for traveling. HP also promises a 9.5 hour battery endurance for the Folio 13, which is a bold claim – something that we’ll definitely be testing in our review of the device later on. The HP Folio 13 retails for Php 55,990, which puts it squarely against other 13-inch ultrabooks vying for your attention – the Lenovo U300s (Php 55,995) and Asus UX21 (Php 53,995).
