LG Optimus 2 uncovered at official site, 800MHz, 3.2-inch budget Android

LG’s latest budget Android smartphone, the Optimus 2 (not to be confused with the 2X) has been uncovered by Phone Scoop on LG’s official site. The Optimus 2 has all the specs you’d expect from a budget Android device, including a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.2 MP autofocus camera and camcorder and a 1,500 mAh battery. Sadly, it’s obviously aimed at US markets as its currently provisioned for CDMA networks, and not GSM. Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a possibility that a GSM made model will surface – as developing markets like ours would probably be a great atmosphere for a product like this. Here’s to hoping.
