Half a million pesos buys you a lot of things – a second hand car, a down payment on your dream home, and in Pentax’s case, the body of their medium format, 645D. So what do you get with that much cash? Well, in the 645D’s case, you get a massive (44x33mm), 40 megapixel CCD sensor with a resolution of 7264×5440 pixels – ideal for ultra-high resolution imaging, large printing applications and professional work requiring large amounts of detail. It also sports an 11 point SAFOX IX+ autofocus system, 77 segment metering system, the ability to shoot pictures in 14 bit RAW in PEF and Adobe DNG, in-camera HDR image capture and ISO performance of 100-1600. Like we mentioned before, the Pentax 645D is very expensive – it’ll retail for about Php 599,999 for just the body, and 659,999 with a DFA 55 lens.
