Recently after the release of the highly anticipated iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, reports from AllthingsD say that Apple is set to hold an iPad event later this month.
AllthingsD’s sources reveal that the Apple event on October 22 will be an invitation-only affair wherein rumored updates on the company’s iPad line will be unveiled. Furthermore, tech people and the media have their ears perked up for the possible announcement of the new Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks.
The newest iPad is projected to feature a thinner, lighter design similar to the iPad mini plus an improved camera. Also, the fifth-generation iPad is rumored to run Apple’s new 64-bit A7 chip. Whereas, the second-generation iPad mini will sport a retina display and is likely to have the A7 built-in its entrails. There is still no confirmation whether the new generation iPads will feature Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
The venue of the event is still yet to be announced.
