Ever wished you could utilize the features of Waze to Google Maps? Well, good news. All you Google Maps users can now get help avoiding traffic jams and mishaps—even the police—thanks to Waze!
Both the iOS and Android versions of Google Maps now include real-time traffic reports from Waze users. Bought by Google back in June to improve its mapping service, Waze uses crowdsourcing to collate the traffic updates that are reported by its users.
“This means when Wazers report accidents, construction, road closures, and more on Waze, the updates will also appear on the Google Maps app for Android and iOS in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, UK, and the US,” Google said in a blog posted today.
The pair-up with Google benefits Waze users all the same. Google Search is now part of the iOS and Android versions of Waze, giving users more search results compared to before. The Waze Map Editor has added Google Street View and satellite images to help people create more accurate maps.
Update the apps to see the changes! Safe navigation!
