Microsoft makes data presentation pretty with “Infinite” light show

No, this isn’t Avatar’s Tree of Souls. Microsoft, one day, decided to debunk the idea that data is boring. How? You may ask. If you are Microsoft, then you’ll probably do it with a show of lights.

The tech giant recently launched a database server app opening the Infinity Room. The project is a temporary art installation that is a fancy, rather dazzling, visualization of big data.

Built by Universal Everything, the Infinity Room, is comprised of an array of choreographed LED lights and pixel spheres to produce animations in a mirrored room. It gives guests the impression that they were standing in an endless sea of information.
